Alpha Gym

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 July 2026

1. Who we are

Alpha Gym is a private members' gym based in Bradford, United Kingdom. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you use our website (alphagyms.co.uk) and the Alpha Gym member app. For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at info@alphagyms.co.uk.

2. Information we collect

Membership details: your name, email address, phone number, date of birth and membership plan, collected when you join Alpha Gym. Bookings and attendance: the classes, sessions and facilities you book, and entry records created when your membership pass is scanned at the gym. Enquiries: messages you send us through the website or app, including your contact details and preferred times. Device information: if you enable notifications in the member app, we store a push notification token for your device; we do not track your location. Payments: membership payments are handled by our payment provider — we do not store your card details on our systems.

3. How we use your information

To manage your membership, including entry to the gym via your personal QR pass; to manage class timetables, bookings and one-to-one sessions with our trainers and practitioners; to send you service notifications you have opted into, such as booking confirmations, session changes and unexpected closures (we do not send marketing notifications); and to respond to your enquiries. We process this information to perform our membership contract with you, and where relevant with your consent, in line with UK GDPR.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our systems: secure database and authentication hosting (Supabase), push notification delivery (Expo), and transactional email (Resend). These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your membership information for as long as you are a member, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. Booking history is retained to operate the timetable and for your own records in the app.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights — including deleting your account and associated data — contact us at info@alphagyms.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

7. Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and stored with access controls so that only the systems and staff that need it can reach it. The member app stores your session securely on your device.

8. Children

Alpha Gym memberships and the member app are intended for adults aged 18 and over.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify members directly.
